Sometimes I feel like Zel Miller, wonderin' what the heck is goin' on with my "party". Let me distance myself a little bit by saying I'm more of a Conservative than I am a Republican, but that is the only party that has the "potential" to implement the ideas I believe in...but I digress. Back to my rant!

Here in Georgia, we have Republicans asking the Federal Government to FUND our state run children's healthcare program, called Peach-Care. Having been turned down by President Bush ( PRAISE GOD! ), our Senators in the US congress (along with our Governor and all the "state" reps) proposed 'taking money from states that have a surplus' to fund Georgia's shortfall.

Republicans, as a rule, not only against the redistribution of wealth (via taxes) but are vehemently opposed to "national healthcare". How can they be against national healthcare (Rightly so I might add) while proposing that the nation as a whole (we asked for Federal funds first), or states who are running a surplus in their healthcare programs - pay for our shortfall. While that may not be the same as nationalized healthcare, it is the same seed and those seeds will likely grow.

I ask you, is that not a contradiction? Is there not a disconnect there? Is that not the REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH? Does taking from the wealthy states to give to the poorer states sound more like a liberal socialist Democrat plan or a Republican plan. Mind you, Georgia is supposed to be the "reddest" state in the Union!

Also In GA. we have "Republicans" making it mandatory for girls entering 6th grade and on to be vaccinated for HPV...a sexually transmitted disease! While one bill would "allow" exemptions for religious reasons, it still does not make this an acceptable plan. Government has no role here. This is a behavioral problem. If a parent wants to have their daughter vaccinated to "protect" her in her choices, that's their decision and they can go buy their protection at their own expense. Why should every girl have to get this garbage injected into thier bodies because many cannot contain their urges? Moreover, why should we all have to pay for the behavioral consequences of others? Why are Republicans taking on the role of Governmant Nanny?

Just a few minutes left for the Republicans in the US Congress? Their silence and inaction on Border Security is probably the main reason they are no longer in the majority. They demonstrating the same ineffectiveness / silence on the US Attorney firings. Not one will stand up and point out the hypocrisy of the left on this. Clinton fired all 93 US Attorneys when he came into office. Nobody said a word and that's fine, they serve at the pleasure of the President. But when the party's titular head ( Pres. Bush for those of you in Rio Linda ) is under intense scrutiny for firing 8, they speak not a word. Would any dare call Mrs. Clinto to task as she piles on in this matter? Naw! Let the hypocrisy stand. It is sad when Hyporcisy has stronger legs than our Republican "leaders".

No time to proofread, edit, or make it read better...just a few minutes to rant! Gotta run.

Love Mr P - Kierstyn's Dad.

Hey Friends!

After 3 looooooooooong months, I'm finally gettin' a chance to update my BLOG!!! I've been Mr-Momming it for a while and haven't had the time, the energy, or the clarity of mind to be able to write. My bride Deborah is doin' much better now PRAISE GOD!!!! We even had DATE NIGHT last night for the first time in 3 months too!!!! She hasn't been able to get up and around for quite some time. She's still not 100% but she's really gaining strength through Christ!!!

I just dropped Kierstyn off at the movies with Zach and her friend Keeleigh. They're gonna see AMAZING GRACE. Kierstyn just turned Sweet 16. We got her a 22 caliber revolver for her birthday, with lessons from an NRA certified instructor and some guy in the service that teaches our boys how to shoot is gonna teach her (and Zach) how to shoot too! She ought'a be a regular Dirty Harriet by the time all this training is done. Some of you may be to young to get that one. Dirty Harry was an old Clint Eastwood character... a real tough cop back in my day.

Zach's gonna take shootin lessons too! That should be cool for him. Maybe he can pull himself away for SO-COM (a military video game) to learn how to shoot well in real life.  Zach is growin' like a weed. He's about a half inch smaller than me, but the Dr's say I still have one more Growth Spurt comin'!!!! It's gonna be close! I hope to take shootin lessons too so I can get better with my revolver (357).

We're lookin' forward to meetin' some of Kierstyn's friends in May. They're all comin in for Teen Pact National Convention and to work on "Regenerate Our Culture" and maybe Square Talk. She's gonna have a great time.

Her life is a little different than most in that many of her closest friends live hundreds of miles away and she rarely gets to see them. But it's also diiferent in that she will likely meet up with most of these folks in the future as they pursue God's plan (and purpose) for thier lives. It's different 'cuz most folks' friends are the one's who they grow up with and after High School they never see each other again. These are all on-line kids involved in great Christian and political organizationa! They're all like minded Christian Conservatives (except for Isaac who likes Barak Obama...hehehe) who have the strength of character to take a stand for thier faith, their GOD, and their country. I'm probably one of the few dad's in America that can say I like my daughter's (and son's) friends! Thank You Jesus!!!!

Well, that's it for now. I hope to write again this month.

God's Peace to you all.

Love Carl aka(Mr P) (Kierstyn's Dad)

Upadate...

"When in the course of human events it becomes necessary..."

...to update one's blog.

However, when the owner of that blog is unable to accomplish that task, they have the option of employing someone of thier choosing into updating it for them. So, I told dad last night that I would hack in (which is a benefit of knowing his login info) and update it for him. Seeing as my dad left off with the trip to Florida, I'll start there.

September:
Return from FL on the 6th.
Spoke @ Patriot's day on the 10th.
We got a foreign exchange student named Pow on the 10th.
I left to DC with Teenpact on the 16th.
Enrolled Pow in Koinonia.
Campaign.

October:
Campaigning
Teaching Pow about American Government and Politics
Working on the church's "Trunk or Treat" project.

November:
72 hour Task Force
Laurah's 7th Birthday was on the 7th
Thanksgiving - which was quiet and dad was sick, but it worked out.
Drove on the "open road" on the 24th
Valerie's 9th Birthday on the 28th
Speech and Debate finals at Koinonia on the 28th as well. (I got to grade...**halo**)

Alot of things have been going on with work and church so Dad has been very busy. He's in the Church's Christmas play, which according to him is going to be really neat. He's also the 2nd charismatic in the baptist chior, which makes it funny to watch on Sunday. He and the other member will be moving and everyone else is standing still.

My siblings have been on Chistmas break since election week and won't resume until January. Pow is studying for his government final today and takes it tomorrow. He *should* do well, though he had a very interesting teacher who was absent most of the time. My mom and I taught speech and debate at the school Pow is going to. It's supposedly a "Christian" school, however the students don't exemplify it. Dad and I went to hear a 4 star general speak on NATO and Democracy which was quite interesting. We learned alot about the switching of "power" from the US to NATO over in Afghanistan.  Then, Pow went with me to an Economic Thinking seminar about NATO and Democracy. He didn't like it and he fell asleep during quite a bit of it.

Sorry this post wasn't issue centered. I may upload something deeper later on or let dad know that he needs to  put something a bit more interesting on his xanga. However, if you're looking for something worth while to read, you'll find it here, here, and here. Or on the blog network at www.regenerateourculture.com

Hey Friends!

Kierstyn is in Jacksonville, Fla. campaigning with Teen Pact. Please make mention of her (and them) in your prayers. Praise God that HE keeps us in all our ways and that HE bears us up in the hands of HIS holy angels lest we should even dash our foot against a stone, and No Weapon formed against us shall prosper!
